Procedure is Well Suited for Translation into
the Current Hospital Setting
the Current Hospital Setting
Rectangle 2850 (3)
Clinical Adaptation
- LRP procedures are based on standard principles of percutaneous cardiovascular/renal and ECMO procedures which are performed in thousands of patients daily.
- All preclinical studies have been carried out in a fully translational set up (interdisciplinary team, hybrid suite, clinical-grade materials) suggesting strong transferability into a clinical setting.
- Preclinical results and evidence strongly suggest technical feasibility, usability and acceptable safety-profile of
LRP procedure.
Rectangle 2902
Team
- Interdisciplinary teams comprising interventionalists and/or surgeons and clinical perfusionists are foreseen to perform the LRP procedures.
- These teams already exist in clinical settings.
Rectangle 2902
Set-up
- LRP can be carried out in any standard, state-of-the-art catheter/hybrid suite which are frequently used for percutaneous coronary or structural heart interventions
- Infrastructure for LRP procedures already exists in most hospitals that perform interventional cardiac procedures
